Phinisee Promise Foundation
exists for the moments no one plans for.
The diagnosis that changes everything.
The crisis that shakes a home.
The silent mental battle no one sees.
The night a mother and child need somewhere safe to go.
We are dedicated to restoring hope to families impacted by breast cancer, mental health challenges, unforeseen crises, and domestic violence.
We believe that when a woman feels safe, a child feels protected.
When a child feels protected, a family can begin to heal.
And when families heal, communities grow stronger.
Our Mission
To provide compassionate support, safe spaces, and healing-centered programs that empower women and protect children during life’s most difficult seasons.
Through advocacy, emotional wellness support, crisis response, and our Jump for Joy Program - Mumble Jumbo Play House, we ensure that no family walks through hardship alone.
Our Core Values
Compassion
We lead with empathy and understanding, meeting families exactly where they are.
Dignity
Every woman, every child, deserves to be treated with respect — no matter their circumstances.
Safety
We prioritize secure environments where healing can begin without fear.
Hope
Even in crisis, we believe brighter futures are possible.
Community
Healing does not happen in isolation! it happens together.
Our Board
Phinisee Promise Foundation is led by women who know struggle! and chose healing.
We are survivors of domestic violence.
We are daughters who endured loss.
We are women who stood alone and found strength through faith and community.
Each leader carries lived experience that fuels our mission.
We don’t speak from textbooks.
We speak from scars that turned into strength.
Our spiritual foundation guides everything we do, believing that God places people in our lives to lift us, heal us, and help us rise together.
Jasmine Watts
Founder and Executive Director,
Jasmine Watts, understands firsthand what it means to face life-altering challenges, stand strong through trauma, and choose healing even when the journey feels impossible.
Having endured personal battles with Breast Cancer, mental health struggles, unforeseen crises, and the realities many women face in unsafe situations, Jasmine turned pain into purpose.
What once tried to break her became the very reason she now builds safe spaces for others.
Through faith, spiritual grounding, resilience, and deep compassion, she rose not just to survive! But to serve.
Phinisee Promise Foundation is the manifestation of that journey: a place where women and children find safety, hope, and a future beyond crisis.
Marissa Soren
Board Secretary & Community Healing Advocate
Marissa Soren is a woman rooted deeply in healing, resilience, and compassion. A survivor of domestic violence and life’s hardest obstacles, she understands firsthand what it feels like to stand alone, searching for safety, strength, and hope.
Rather than letting pain define her, Marissa transformed it into purpose.
Her heart of gold and lived experience allow her to connect authentically with women walking through crisis, reminding them that survival is not the end of their story! healing and strength are.
She serves the foundation not just as a leader, but as a warrior who knows the journey and stands as living proof that broken seasons can become powerful testimonies.
Mariah L. Young
Treasurer & Financial Stewardship Leader
Mariah L. Young’s strength was forged through loss and independence at a young age. After losing her mother as a teenager and growing up without the presence of her father, Mariah learned early what it meant to rely on faith, resilience, and inner strength.
Through life’s challenges, she discovered the power of chosen family. The sisters and community God placed around her to uplift, support, and guide her.
This journey shaped her deep belief in showing up for others, especially women and families navigating hardship alone.
Mariah brings both compassion and responsibility to the foundation, ensuring that every resource is handled with integrity and love, knowing firsthand how much support can change a life.

Respected by both peers and adults, Ju’li naturally steps into the role of a leader, encouraging, uplifting, and guiding other children through moments of fear, emotion, and growth.
She is a source of comfort and strength to youth throughout her community.
Through grounding techniques, emotional expression, and positive encouragement, Ju’li teaches children how to understand their feelings, find calm in chaos, and begin healing at a young age.
Her presence reminds us that healing has no age, and leadership can begin with love.
Ju’li represents the future of Phinisee Promise Foundation: emotionally aware, compassionate, strong, and deeply connected to the mission of supporting children through life’s hardest moments.
